Menstrual cycles. A huge taboo yet something that impacts our occupations, participation and everyday lives. 

I know that many occupational therapists are curious or passionate about menstrual cycles in their personal lives. And you may have inkling that you want to bring this wisdom into your work.

However it can feel really uncertain how menstrual cycle knowledge and wisdom might fit within your professional work and an occupational therapy approach. 

As you contemplate bringing menstrual awaken into your work you experience barriers such as: 

• not knowing how (or if!) menstrual cycles can even fit within occupational therapy models of practice 
• lack of clarity around what our scope of work in this area could be 
• feeling uncomfortable talking about menstrual cycles yourself, let alone bringing it up with a client
